This stone ornament, believed to be part of a ceremonial or decorative object, was discovered near the village of Kotsiubyntsi, Chortkiv Raion, Ternopil Oblast — in the gently sloping valley of the Seret River, a tributary of the Dniester. The piece was unearthed during hillside stabilization work on private farmland, where it lay alongside river-rounded stones, ash lenses, and small ceramic fragments — signs of an ancient settlement layer.

Expertly shaped and smoothed by hand, the artifact features subtle carved lines and surface wear consistent with prolonged ritual or symbolic use. Stone artifacts of this kind are rare for the Trypillia culture, where ceramics dominated — making this item especially significant as a possible marker of status, identity, or sacred function.

A meaningful relic from the spiritual and artistic world of Neolithic Ukraine, ideal for collectors of rare prehistoric materials and Eastern European antiquities.
