This ancient ceramic idol was discovered on the outskirts of the village of Brînzeni, Mohyliv-Podilskyi Raion, Vinnytsia Oblast — near a natural limestone ridge overlooking the Dniester River canyon, a region rich in Neolithic archaeological sites. The artifact was unearthed during soil preparation for vineyard expansion, when workers encountered a shallow cultural layer containing charcoal, pottery fragments, and this remarkably preserved figurine.
The idol displays a stylized human form with softened contours and faint decorative incisions across the torso, typical of ritual imagery found in late Cucuteni-Trypillia settlements. Experts suggest it was used as part of household or communal spiritual practices, likely connected to fertility or seasonal cycles.
A rare and culturally significant piece, this figurine bridges ancient symbolism and Ukrainian heritage — ideal for collectors, curators, and lovers of prehistoric art.
