This ancient ceramic amphora was discovered near the village of Talianky, Talne Raion, Cherkasy Oblast — in the heart of one of the largest known Neolithic settlements of the Trypillia culture. The item was found during planned archaeological fieldwork adjacent to the western edge of the settlement plateau, just above the Talianky River, where layers of compacted soil revealed domestic ceramics and ritual vessels.

Formed by hand and lightly decorated with linear motifs, this amphora likely served as a household storage vessel for grains or sacred liquids. Its narrow neck and symmetrical profile are hallmarks of Trypillian ceramic design, reflecting both practical use and spiritual significance in early agrarian life.

An exceptional relic from one of Europe’s most advanced prehistoric cultures, this piece is a must-have for serious collectors of ancient ceramics and Ukrainian heritage artifacts.
